Join us for an enchanting night of dance, fun and family entertainment. Come and experience the joy of dancing to celebrate 50 years of Wargrave Festival.

You will witness inspiring demonstrations and show dances from talented local dancers. There will also be the opportunity to take part in fun group classes to learn some moves of your own and show off your fancy footwork. If you would prefer to watch and not dance, that is fine too - you can always channel your inner Craig Revel Horwood and offer constructive comments and tips to your friends and family members from the sidelines!

This is a popular family-friendly event that you don't want to miss.

This event brings a showcase of incredible local dance talent to Wargrave.

Featuring:

Muse Dance -  run by Karen and Ella Robinson, teaching ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary dance for ages 2 - 18 years old.  Dancers from MUSE have performed at Sadlers Wells Theatre and The O2 arena as well at many local and charity events. TDC have been very lucky to recently perform live on air for CNN, as well as Westminster Abbey for the schools' biennial service. Queen Anne's are delighted to be supporting the Wargrave festival and the TDC students are looking forward to performing on stage!

The Miles School of Dancing - long established family Latin and Ballroom dance company based in Caversham and Henley with a reputation for excellent teaching. Featuring U18 rising stars Lucy and James who, despite dancing together for less than a year, are already achieving great success on the latin and ballroom competition circuit.

Dance2Salsa Dance Company - Basil Pinnock, Director of Dance2Salsa has spent many years in the various Jazz Dance clubs up and down the country. This was a unique underground dance scene, where the emphasis was on solo footwork and breath-taking body movement. Salsa became a major part of Basil’s life in 2001 and he has dedicated himself to learning and teaching all aspects of this fantastic art form. He started Dance2Salsa in the Autumn of 2006 with Melissa Lambourne. Basil now teaches a number of different dance styles and forms including, On Clave, Musicality, Cross Body Lead salsa On1, Pachanga, Mambo On2 (Palladium/Classic timing), Cha Cha Cha, Cuban Salsa, Afro Cuban Dance, Body Movement and Bachata. Basil is always approachable and is often the last one on the dance floor sharing his enthusiasm for the dance, the music and his dance partners.

And it doesn't end there.... you the audience will also be able to try your hand at some dance steps with workshops run by our expert teachers. No experience or partner is necessary to join in - just a sense of fun!

At the end of the evening we will be bringing salsa party vibes to the marquee. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, this will be your chance to let loose, hit the dance floor and enjoy the Latin rhythms.
